JOSME Anti-efflorescence Waterproof Slurry is a three component polymer modified system based on active inorganic crystalline components and high density polymer resins. These active chemicals penetrate into the capillary pores of the concrete and form water insoluble crystals which prevent migration of liquid water and of dissolved salts to the outside. Bond strength ≥ 1.5 MPa Product withstands 0.8 MPa of hydrostatic pressure. Recommended usage is 1.8-2.0kg/㎡, apply with brush or roller.
Most waterproof coatings just create a layer on the surface. The active chemical components of this slurry are transported into the concrete matrix by moisture. Inside they form water-insoluble crystals that permanently clog capillary pathways. Those pathways can no longer allow the water, dissolved salts and alkalis to travel forth.
This is the difference between crystalline-penetrating waterproofing and traditional film-forming coatings: the protection is embedded in the concrete, not coated on top of it.

Blocks Alkali/Salt at Source: The crystalline structure stops moisture-induced salt migration, which can lead to white discolouration, putty powdering, and paint peeling.
Water-backing side use: Can be applied to interior faces in basement retrofits to seal seepage channels from the inside.
Breathable, liquid-blocking: Permits passage of vapour, but blocks liquid water and dissolved salts.
Compatible with finishes: High grip texture increases binding with C2 tile adhesives, works with latex paint.
Long term performance: Inorganic crystals are active in concrete throughout the service life of the construction.
Exterior walls exposed to rain – prevents white icing and paint failure
Negative-side basement walls – restrict moisture without digging
Kitchen/bathroom water-backing sides - a barrier against splashes and humidity
Low-rise walls below ground address Capillary Rise
Exterior stone/facade systems – back-coating to avoid surface bloom
Underground infrastructure – Sulphate attack and spalling resistant

Each batch of this Anti-efflorescence Waterproof Slurry shall be tested before delivery for the following:
Efflorescence Resistance Test: Coated substrates are exposed to moisture gradients to demonstrate that soluble salts are not transported to the surface.
Bond strength after immersion in water. The polymer-cement matrix is tested under saturated circumstances to check the bond strength.
Impermeability grade verification: S6 or S8 impermeability grade is confirmed by a high-pressure water penetration test.
In-process monitoring involves incoming raw-material inspection, finished-product testing, and batch sample retention for consistency monitoring.

Complete Penetration and Bonding Proper surface preparation is essential:
Existing efflorescence deposits are mechanically removed from the substrate.
Neutralise with an acid wash and rinse and drain completely.
Achieve Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) state of the substrate - surface moisture is necessary for optimum penetration and crystal formation.
Mix the three parts with the TDS ratios and keep the powder-to-liquid ratio constant.
Apply with brush or roller at the rate of 1.8-2.0 kg/㎡ on the specified number of coats.
Allow sufficient time for drying prior to tiling, puttying or application of latex paint.
JOSME employs reinforced export grade packaging suitable for ocean freight, that prevents leakage, delamination and transit damage. Supporting export documentation available upon request.
Custom options include adjusted formulations and private-label packaging. Standard Anti-efflorescence Waterproof Slurry are typically ready to ship within 2–3 working days. Custom-formula and private-label orders require 7–15 working days depending on specification and volume.

Q: How does the crystalline penetration mechanism differ from conventional waterproof coatings?
A: Conventional coatings form a protective film on the surface only. This slurry's active components penetrate into the concrete matrix with moisture and generate water-insoluble crystals inside the capillary pores — blocking water and salt migration from within the structure rather than from the outside face.
Q: What problems does wall efflorescence create and how does this solution address them?
A: Salts and alkalis travel outside through capillary pores with moisture generating white deposits, putty powdering and latex paint peeling. This slurry occludes the capillary channels with inorganic crystals, disrupting the migratory path before salts reach the finish layer.
Q: Can it be applied directly to the interior (negative) side of a basement wall?
A: Yes. The active components penetrate and crystallize into the concrete from the interior face, making this product suitable for basement walls and kitchen or bathroom areas where exterior treatment is not accessible.
Q: How should existing efflorescence deposits be treated before application?
A: Existing salt deposits must be mechanically removed first. The surface should then be treated with an acidic neutralizing wash, rinsed thoroughly, and brought to an SSD condition before the slurry is applied.
