Natural stone coating on any wall surface mimics the visual depth of granite and marble without the structural weight of real stone. The fundamental element of the composition is crushed grains of natural stone, glued with multifunctional additives and high-performance acrylic emulsion. It may be sprayed with a spray gun on cornices, curved walls, columns and flat facades. This coating is ideal for complicated architectural geometries, residential villas and high rise facades where heavy masonry is not practicable since it decreases wall load by over 80% compared to ordinary stone cladding.

What Is Natural Stone Coating?

Natural stone coating is a liquid applied architectural wall treatment. Crushed marble, granite or quartz grains bound together with a weather resistant acrylic resin emulsion and useful additives, provide a surface that is indistinguishable in sight and feel to actual stone slabs. It overcomes the main limitations of traditional stone cladding: its enormous weight, the risk of a slab falling, the high labour costs and the difficulty of application to non-planar surfaces.

It may be spray sprayed and weighs around 10% of genuine stone thus it can be used on geometries that stone cladding cannot reach such as curved facades, cornices, intricate columns and strange substrate profiles.

Real stone texture, stable colouring
Sand-grain relief gives the depth of actual stone. Colour originates from natural stone grains and not dyes and provides the long term stability of colour with a fraction of the UV shift of pigment based coatings.

Weather and UV-resistance
Suitable for coastal, high humidity and high UV situations acrylic or silicone modified acrylic binder. Resists fading, ageing and chalking.

Water resistant, little maintenance
48 to 72 hours water immersion - no whitening or softening. Resistance to acid and alkali. Rain cleans away dust, so you have to clear less often.”

No peeling or delamination of bonds. Elasticity bridges hairline fissures in concrete caused by heat movement, keeping the waterproof barrier intact.

Low-VOC, water-based

Complete Coating System

The four layers function together as one integrated solution. Omission of any layer will affect adhesion, weathering and service life.

Putty—levels substrate; fills up imperfections.

Primer — seals the substrate, prevents alkali migration (pH must be < 10) and forms adhesion.

Finish – entire texture of the stone, its colour and ornamental effect.

Topcoat – clear silicon-acrylic varnish covers porous surface, gives UV protection & minimises dust build-up.

Particle size – All granules are homogeneous in size, eliminating drooping or uneven texture.

Water whitening – No whitening or softening after 48-72 h immersion period.

Adhesion – Bond strength between primer, finish and topcoat measured by ISO 4624 pull-off tests.

Retention of batch samples guarantees full traceability.
