JOSME's Water-Based PU Coating is a two-component finish of water-based hydroxy acrylic emulsion, environmental polyurethane curing agent and deionised water. It is suitable for metal substrates when anti-corrosion and attractive qualities are needed. It combines surface hardness, abrasion resistance and textured gloss in one solution. Meets ST3 and SA2.5 surface treatment requirements. Application in machine tools, metal cabinets, iron doors and industrial equipment
The procedure of polyurethane dispersion (PUD) disperses the polyurethane particles in water instead of organic solvents. This helps companies satisfy REACH and EPA criteria, and reduces the need to store solvents and the risk of inhaling isocyanates during spraying.
The two-component cross-linking technology combines safety and mechanical properties such as stable adhesion, reliable hardness, abrasion resistance and low-VOC performance for long-term industrial applications.
Water-Based PU Coating Bonded to metal. Stable to ASTM D3359. Protection: Cured film is resistant to friction and moderate impact. UV resistant, anti-fade. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use .
Decorative: Uniform 3D textured surface, full shine, colour and gloss maintained for the whole service life.
Eco-Friendly: It is diluted with clean water and contains no extra benzene, formaldehyde and dangerous metals. Low VOC & low odour suitable for restricted workplace & accurate instrument setups.

Film stability and adhesion pre-treatment. Polish or sandblast the metal to remove corrosion, scale, dust and oil until grade ST3 or SA2.5 is achieved. Poor adhesion and film breakdown and residual contamination.
Spray for even texture & gloss. Roller & brush for small area touch-ups. No application below 5°C or above 80% humidity. High humidity slows evaporation and influences cure.
Add small amounts of clean water (no more than 10%) to modify viscosity Dilution is slow . Build quality and performance is retained .
For metallic substrates needing mechanical protection and ornamental effects:
Industrial Machinery: Light & Heavy equipment, resisting everyday friction & impact
Machine tools: Suitable for enclosed workplaces, satisfying protection and cosmetic requirements
Metal Facilities: Iron doors, metal cabinets, components for external use that require weather resistance
Equipment Panels: Mechanical protection and textured decoration for industrial shells
Not appropriate to fabrics, wood furniture or vehicle interior parts.

JOSME implements full-process quality control: inbound inspection, production monitoring and end Water-Based PU Coating testing. Core testing includes DLS particle size, ASTM D3359 adhesion, 24 hour chemical spot resistance, ISO 4892 QUV weathering and two component viscosity/pot life monitoring. Batch samples guarantee uniform colour, particle size and performance from order to order.

We may provide bespoke colour matching, particle size modification, private label packing, formula enhancement for certain substrates and climates and sample duplication.
Standard items ship within 2-3 working days. Custom colour, formula and private-label orders ship within 7-15 working days.
Scheduling in advance for huge projects.

Q1: Why fit for industrial equipment?
A1: 2K cross-linked system delivers stable adhesion, hardness and abrasion resistance against the friction and impact.
Q2: Why Enclosure Workshops?
A2: No benzene, formaldehyde and heavy metals. Low odour, low VOC, water reducible.
Q3: Does it fade or yellow with time?
A3: Aliphatic polyurethane is UV-resistant and yellowing resistance. Aromatics are for primer or non-UV only.
Q4: What is the effect of too much humidity on construction?
A4: Delayed curing due to decreased evaporation at over 80% RH. Maintain humidity below 80% RH with air movement.
Q5: Can it be as tough as solvent based PU?
A5: Yes, via two-component cross-linking, with low-VOC performance.
