Product Description

High-performance Interface Reinforcing Primer for Wall Substrates

JOSME's High-Performance Interface Reinforcing Primer is a water-based treatment product made using deionised water, screened functional additives, and a polymer emulsion. It has a dry tensile bond strength of not less than 1.5 MPa and penetrates capillary pores of the substrate 3-5 mm. It solves such regular problems on site as dusting, shelling and sand loss of concrete surface, laying a strong base for subsequent puttying, tile adhesive and waterproofing. Standard coverage 0.1-0.15 kg/㎡ per coat For new construction and renovation, for concrete, aerated concrete, plaster layers, brick-concrete walls, sand-lime walls and floor substrates.

What Is This Product and Why Does It Matter?

After the completion of the project, the peeling of putty, hollowing of tiles, and cracking of coatings are caused by the concealed defects of many wall substrates, such as loose mortar layers, large micropores, and uneven water absorption, which raise the maintenance cost.

The primer penetrates into capillary pores of the wall and consolidates loose particles within, forming bonding surfaces, which are strong for subsequent layers.

It is used frequently in commercial construction and residential renovation and meets the material procurement and project needs of builders, developers and building material distributors.

Features and Benefits of a High-Performance Interface Reinforcing Primer

Deep Penetration & Consolidation: Particles < 0.1 micron penetrate concrete and mortar pores to a depth of 3-5mm, stabilising highly porous substrates, e.g. ancient sand-lime walls and aerated concrete.

Stable Bonding Dry tensile bond strength > 1.0 MPa and at least 1.5 MPa after immersion in water . Prevents cement delamination, tile hollowing and coating flaking .

Alkali Resistance: Resists damage from saponification on newly poured concrete walls. Adjusts to pH 12-14.

Water-Based Eco-Friendly: Low VOC (50 g/L) and approved to meet green building standards.

Easy to apply: 2 thin layers over porous sand-lime and aged plaster; 1 layer on firm concrete. Tack free in 24 to 48 hours. Tile and putty work.

Where Does It Get Used?

Concrete Walls: Lowers labour costs by removing the need for sandblasting and mechanical roughening of smooth surfaces.

AAC Blocks: Balances uneven absorption of water therefore preventing rapid loss of water and shrinkage cracking of plaster.

Sand-lime floors and walls stabilise powdery, loose surfaces prior to tile installation and waterproofing.

Plaster and brick-concrete walls are the best for substantial decorative treatments, as they promote the interfacial bonding between the substrates and the putty layers.

High Humidity Environments: In underground structures, and humid interior areas where moisture might cause walls to swell and peel.

Packaging and Storage

The High-performance Interface Reinforcing Primer must be kept between 5°C and 35°C in a dry, cold atmosphere. In order to prevent leaks and damage, the export-grade packing is designed for long-distance cross-border transit.

We provide tailored packaging options to meet project use needs and private-label branding.

Customization and Supply Options

For international B2B clients, JOSME offers a variety of flexible supply options. We assist with colour matching, private-label processing, standard stock supply, and customised formula modification.

Specific formulations may be created based on substrate properties and local climate. In order to reserve capacity, large-scale project orders facilitate prior production scheduling. For all enquiries, we provide expert technical advice and commercial docking services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Do walls that seem to be intact need primer?
A1: Indeed. Internal loose, permeable features may nevertheless be present in aesthetically sound walls. Priming sand-lime substrates and aerated concrete strengthens surfaces, reduces putty peeling, and enhances finishing stability.

Q2: After priming, are further interface materials required?
A2: The primer creates suitable bonding conditions for tiling and puttying, therefore no further interface treatment is needed after full application and drying.

Q3: How are coating passes determined?
A3: To guarantee complete penetration, apply one application to hard concrete and two thin coatings to loose sand-lime walls and ageing plaster.

Q4: Is it suitable for use on damp walls?
A4: Only on surfaces that are damp-dry and have less than 10% moisture. To guarantee adequate penetration and film development, remove any standing water first.

Q5: Is it able to take the position of mechanical roughening for smooth concrete?
A5: Indeed. Good compatibility with smooth concrete saves time and labour by reducing or eliminating grinding.
