Product Description

Multi-functional Interface Reinforcing Primer for Concrete & Masonry — Penetrating Seal with High Bond Strength

Multi-functional Interface Reinforcing Primer by JOSME is a water-based polymer emulsion penetrating sealing material compounded with eco-friendly functional additives. It penetrates interior wall and floor substrates to improve compactness and interfacial adhesion, with tensile bond strength exceeding 1.5 MPa. The product supports direct brushing and cement blending roughening construction. It fits multiple base surfaces including concrete, aerated concrete, plaster layers, brick-concrete walls and sand-lime substrates, applicable for new building construction and old wall renovation projects.

What Makes This Primer Different

Conventional primers only form simple surface coating layers. This Multi-functional Interface Reinforcing Primer achieves 2–5 mm deep penetration into substrates, forming microscopic mechanical interlocking structures to bind internal loose cement particles.

It serves as a transitional bridging agent for different base materials. By consolidating loose substrates and balancing water absorption of porous bases, it improves common construction problems such as surface dusting, finish layer hollowing and uneven base water suction on aerated concrete. The treated base maintains stable bonding performance through thermal expansion and contraction cycles and long-term humid environment exposure.

Key Multi-functional Interface Reinforcing Primer Advantages

Effective Loose Substrate Consolidation The polymer emulsion penetrates 2–5 mm into the substrate and locks loose internal particles, stopping surface dusting and avoiding subsequent finish coating failure.

Stable Roughening Performance with Cement Blending When mixed with cement at a weight ratio of 1:2.0–2.5 for interface roughening, the cured layer provides reliable mechanical friction force for tile and mortar bonding.

Wide Substrate Adaptability It works for concrete, aerated concrete, plaster layers, brick-concrete walls, smooth waterproof substrates and glazed tile surfaces without mechanical grinding treatment in advance.

Capillary Sealing to Reduce Efflorescence It blocks substrate capillary channels and inhibits soluble salt migration, reducing wall efflorescence and keeping long-term surface neatness of finish layers.

Eco-Friendly Water-Based Formula The low-VOC and low-odor water-based system meets indoor environmental requirements, suitable for residential buildings, schools, hospitals and various commercial spaces.

Application Scenarios

Interface Treatment Before Puttying Directly brush the Multi-functional Interface Reinforcing Primer on concrete, aerated concrete, plaster and brick-concrete walls before putty construction. One single coat is enough for intact and solid substrates.

Loose Sand-Lime Wall Reinforcement For weathered and powdery sand-lime substrates before waterproofing and tiling construction, this primer seals and consolidates loose base layers. A second thin coat is recommended for highly porous and damaged walls.

Smooth Substrate Roughening Mix with cement in the specified ratio and apply to smooth concrete and flexible waterproof surfaces to form textured rough layers for tile adhesion, eliminating the need for mechanical polishing.

High-Porosity Base Treatment It seals pores of aerated concrete and lightweight masonry substrates, stabilizes water absorption speed, and prevents rapid water loss of new mortar to ensure complete hydration and normal curing.

Industrial Floor Base Reinforcement Used as a reinforcing base layer under self-leveling mortar for warehouse and industrial floors, resisting shear force and vibration generated by forklift operation.

application

Quality Control

All production batches undergo full-process quality inspection including raw material incoming check, production process monitoring and finished product testing before delivery. Core test items cover pull-off adhesion, freeze-thaw resistance, alkali resistance (48–72 hours saturated lime water immersion) and penetration depth detection to verify stable 2–5 mm substrate consolidation effect. We retain samples of each batch to guarantee consistent performance for large-scale and phased projects.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between substrate reinforcement and interface roughening?

A1: Direct brushing is adopted for loose wall reinforcement to penetrate and seal substrates. Cement blending at 1:2.0–2.5 ratio is used for interface roughening to build rough bonding layers. The construction method can be selected according to actual substrate conditions.

Q2: How many coats are required for different wall substrates?

A2: One coat meets the demand for solid and intact substrates. An additional thin coat is required for weathered, loose and highly porous sand-lime walls to ensure full penetration and sealing.

Q3: What precautions are there for indoor enclosed construction?

A3: Keep indoor ventilation after construction, and wait for the primer to dry completely before subsequent puttying and tiling operations.

Q4: Can the product be constructed on damp substrates?

A4: It is applicable to saturated surface dry substrates. Standing water on the surface must be removed in advance, as excessive water will dilute the polymer content and reduce bonding performance.

Q5: What is the interval time for topcoat construction?

A5: Subsequent construction can be carried out after the primer surface becomes tack-free, usually 2–4 hours after application. Avoid long-term exposure of primed surfaces for more than 24 hours to prevent dust contamination.

Q6: Can this primer reduce wall efflorescence?

A6: Yes. It seals substrate capillary channels, restricts internal soluble salt migration, and reduces efflorescence occurrence to keep finish walls clean.
